Golden hour is often associated with mountains, forests, and endless green landscapes. From above, those scenes naturally attract attention. But cities can be just as fascinating when the light begins to change.
This series explores how a city transforms during the final moments before sunset. Throughout most of the day, buildings appear grey, metallic, and uniform. As the sun drops lower, glass facades begin reflecting warm light, shadows stretch across the streets, and concrete surfaces take on shades of gold and orange.
What interested us most was not the skyline itself, but the relationship between light and architecture. A single reflection can completely change a building. Windows become mirrors, rooftops catch the last sunlight, and familiar structures suddenly look different from one moment to the next.
From the drone, patterns start to emerge. Roads become leading lines, intersections turn into geometric shapes, and the contrast between illuminated and shaded areas creates depth that is difficult to notice from ground level.
Rather than searching for natural scenery, we spent our time observing how sunlight interacts with steel, glass, and concrete. The result is a reminder that golden hour is not only for landscapes. Even in the middle of a busy city, light can transform ordinary urban structures into something worth slowing down and photographing.
